Club History
Raheny United Football Club was founded in 1994 following an amalgamation between Raheny Boys and Dunseedy United. In November 2003 we reopened our redeveloped Clubhouse, complete with six dressing rooms, referees room, showers for sixteen, a players lounge which caters for 100 people and a Function Room, complete with full bar facilities, that can cater for 150 people.
In 2015 we entered a partnership with Dublin City Council and Raheny GAA to take responsibility for the running of the all-weather pitch in St. Annes Park.
We currently cater for four senior teams, twenty schoolboy teams, and host our own youth academy every Saturday morning, making us one of the larger junior soccer clubs in Ireland.
Our senior teams compete in the AUL League whilst our schoolboy teams compete in both the DDSL and the NDSL Leagues, with our schoolgirls compete in the MGL League.
At the centre of the club ethos is the development of our local youth in the skills of football in a safe relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere which we hope will form lifelong friendships and a sense of community. Ideally where the players and junior members become the next generation of mentors & coaches and will drive the club’s future holding true to this ethos.
