Safeguarding 1 Course

This group photo was taken at the Safeguarding 1 Course in children's welfare held in the Clubhouse on 28.02.2017.

The course was presented by Paul Keogh, Development Officer, FAI who gave an invaluable insight to the managers and coaches of the Junior Section in the all important area of child welfare and protection. The course was very well attended and the feedback has been very positive.

As the Junior Section continues to grow it is extremely important that all Club officials involved are properly Garda vetted and continue to promote the Club ethos and Child Welfare policy and that all children can play in a fun and safe environment. The Club which currently has 27 junior teams has two Child Welfare Officers, Paul Nolan (Secretary) and Ronan Richmond (Under 8s Manager). Presenter Paul Keogh complimented the Club on the big turn out and the excellent spread prepared for the participants - well done Chuck! As it was Pancake Tuesday - there were even pancakes on offer so that those attending did not miss out.
