Mini Leagues Review 2019

2019 mini leagues was another outstanding success & was made even more enjoyable with the introduction of team jersey’s sponsored by @BallygowanIrishWater.

Big thanks to all who took photos & drone footage & sent into us ( Darren Johnson & Colin Hedderly in particular for the volume of photos they took).

A huge thanks goes to @BallygowanIrishWater for making the Raheny Utd mini leagues an even bigger success this year by providing 400 jersey’s covering 4 age groups .The kids were allowed to take the jersey home after the event , which was a huge plus for them. A big thanks goes to Leonie Doyle of Ballygowan for coming trumps for us.

So don’t forget as Barry would say , buy Ballygowan going forward , they deserve it.

Big thanks to the usual organisers of the mini leagues – Barry Carroll – Lar flood – Graeme kirk – Donal o Dwyer – Peter Mc Gonigle – Maria Prunty & all those who refereed & managed the matches / teams.

I think the event was summed up by an email received today from one of the parents showing their gratitude “Football was the winner and if I had one highlight it was one of the very young teams playing yesterday and when the final whistle went a young boy ran the length of the pitch to jump into his Dad’s arms ‘in his eyes he had just won the Champions League final’”.

We now look forward to next years mini leagues & making more memories & with that have a great summer.
